What do you want to change?
Volunteering with an organization that supports children and adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) has changed the way that I view and understand the disabilities landscape in Canada. People living with disabilities often feel isolated, ostracized, and left behind. I’d like to transform social attitudes towards this population. With more understanding and acceptance, along with increased funding for organizations and programming in this landscape, I believe that the quality of life for this population will improve.
What is your role at Manifest?
I work with clients to realize their vision and create thought-provoking marketing and advocacy campaigns. I wear multiple hats, with responsibilities that extend to developing relationships with media partners, clients, and suppliers. From project planning, strategy, and creative briefing to campaign execution, I ensure that our clients’ projects are executed on time and on budget. These clients have included the Telfer School of Management at University of Ottawa; Mother’s Matter Centre; Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada; Dance Ontario; Sport Canada under Canadian Heritage; and Century Initiative.
